Default 2003 Accord Top Speed

Hey guys,

Well, I'm new here and have a few questions. If I buy a computer chip(ECU) what all is it going to do for me? Also, what all is an intake going to do for me? One more question, the famous question, What is the top speed of a 2003 Honda Accord with an automatic transmission... I never plan on having it over 80 MPH, but my friends a d*** and insists that his TRUCK will beat an accord. Just curious as what it tops out at, I read its governed at 130, but can it hit that?

Thanks
Kyle

if u buy the chip it will take away the rev limitor advance timing of ur spark take out your speed gov, and a little bit of other engine tunning lookin at about 15hp bout its worth it.........u might be able to get 120-130 but it will take a while then once u hit the gov if will bounce

you shouldnt read the maunual on gonvern speeds. I hit 140 with my accord. But i have to admit it was a big downhill. Anyway depends on the truck you are racing. In fact i was racing a truck the other day on route 6 towards i-87. Anyway i see this guy with a hook up truck. Couldnt tell what kind it was he had the damn thing painted like a rainbow. Anyway we go and i admmit he killed me. I hit 120mph when there this turn with a downhill to it. It a pretty sdharp curve. I dont slow down i keep at it at 120mph. Thx good i make it he has to slow down to at least 80 in order to make it. Now thx to the little downhill iam going 125 and he keep trying to ctach up but coudnt i was gone. So yeah his truck might be faster but most trucks cant turn for ****, and most dont really have a high top speed.

This is no "chip" for 7th gen engines. The computer must be removed, modified, and reinstalled.

the only accords that had a governer is i think the first and second gen. No recent accord has a governer and the top speed is defined by the transmission and if you can find a good downgrade. Otherwise you would need a good 200ish hp to actually hit the top speed possible.
