I have a 2008 Accord EX-L with the J35Z2 VCM and B97A trans. Recently found out the cam is bad and honda doesn't have the parts as they are backordered with no estimated delivery date. This engine has 175k on the clock so figured I'd source a used engine with lower miles, possibly with the trans attached and do a swap. (Current trans shifts rough between 2nd and 3rd). Problem is, I'm not having any luck finding a J35Z2 engine. I found 1 with 131k on it and they want 2500 for it... doesn't seem worth it. I continued searching and found a JDM engine importer thag swears he has a J35A VCM and a M97A AT that will fit my car.. im not well versed in the V6s, I've always has the 4 bangers which were fairly easy to find the work around and such.. I need some input here. Anyone have any info? Would that suggested engine and trans be a good replacement? I'm not ready to send her down the road on the wrecker just yet...
