When I purchased my 4 cylinder, 190 HP 2008 Honda Accord Sedan, I thought I hear the salesman tell me that at times this engine runs on just 3 cylinders. Did I hear him correctly? I can't find any thing on line, does any one knows if this is true?

 

Not true. Only the 3.5 V-6 with auto transmission will run on 3,4, or 6 six cylinders depending on the engine load.
