Default 2016 sport / AC on vs off

So I notice with the CVS transmission that acceleration is not its strongest point. But I do notice that with the paddles and in sport mode, that driving without the AC on, FEELS like 10-15 HP additional horsepower. I'm sure this is in my head but it everytime and very much stronger then with the AC on.

How can I achieve this type of additional performance by modding the engine or headers/intake/exhaust etc. for the most bang for the buck?

Thanks.

There is very little you can do; Honda has done a very good job of tuning your engine already. Short of forced induction (which would be the death of your CVT) pretty much any change you make will result in more noise and maybe a little more power up near the red line; that said, such changes usually also result in a reduction in power in the mid ranges.

Long story short, it will be cheaper for you to sell your car and buy a faster car than it will be to make yours faster.

I like the CVT and 'drive by wire' in my '15 Sport... very responsive, the only reduction in performance that I've noticed is when the ECO drive is engaged, so I rarely use it.

Shipo and I are in agreement... leave well enough alone. You've a great car, enjoy it

Should'a bought an old car; Honda pretty much tinkered yours out.
