I just changed the valve cover gasket on our 2017 Accord 2.4L because it had started weeping oil in the front. The gasket was indeed dry and brittle. The engine has just over 120k on it. The valve lash was still in spec on all cylinders 😊

The only "kits" I could find using my #vin do not match my engine, I do not have the screw on tube seals. I ended up tossing most of the kit I bought and used only the cover gasket

The tube seals look like they are press in. Are they even replaceable or do you have to replace the entire valve cover to get new tube seals?

Note: Yes my garage is carpeted. Laying under your car on cut pile carpet while working on it is awsome.
