Its not like a Chevy 350, where you can just put on headers, intake manifold and a bigger carb and get a ton of horsepower. Honda engines are already efficient, its harder to free up more horsepower. You could maybe piece together a turbo kit for less than $2000, if you install it yourself.

Check out this article, see how much work was done to this car for 230hp at the wheels. Thats another thing I should have asked, are you looking for 260-300hp at the wheels or at the crank?

Okay here's the thing. There are more options for performance, a wider selection, for the four cylinder. HOWEVER, my car is a 94 LX, with engine code F22B2. Its factory rated at 130hp at the crank. The 94-97 EX with VTEC is factory rated at 145hp at the crank. So while there are more options, your 200hp at the crank V6 is already 70hp ahead of mine, both stock. There's no way to take my car from stock to 260hp for $2000, it just wont happen. Believe me, I wish it COULD happen! If you want a lot of hp for minimal dollars, do what YeuEmMaiMai did, buy an Acura CL-S. I believe he just put an intake and headers on it, took it from like 260hp to 307hp. Thats an extreme case, though, not every car is able to do that. Im also not sure how much it cost him, performance stuff for that car probably costs more than for an Accord, since it isnt as mass produced.
