Ok well I just bought my first honda. Unfortunately I had to get a 98 honda accord for financial and vehicle reasons. Now the car has 186k on it. Now engine swapping immediately came up on my mind. Except I am new to this whole honda thing. So I am extremely curious to see if there are other motors I could swap in instead of the 2.3 liter ulev vtec which I don't mind but I was hopeful to find maybe a better dohc vtec that I could swap with out many extras like electronics or a new tranny.

ANY IDEAS?????

 

I used to have a 98 2.3-liter NON-ULEV. From what I remember of the shop manual, the ULEV has a LOT of differences in the wiring harness, especially all the engine sensors. Re-wiring that to accept something like an H-series engine might be really expensive??
