Default 99 Accord overheating

For whatever reason my radiator fan is not coming on by itself. I tested it, works when i turn the AC on, both fans come on. I replaced the radiator fan switch thinking that was the problem. But didn't fix it. Thing heats up super quick since the fan wont come on. I checked coolant, plenty of it in the system. thermostat is fairly new. Anyone know what else could be keeping the fan from coming on?

I've replaced the radiator fan switch, the fan works fine (it may have worked all along, i dont know) and i also replaced the thermostat. But the car is still over heating. Might it be the sending unit?

Could be the gauge sending unit or a short in that wire to the sender.

Explain the situation where it overheats; explain the behavior of the gauge. Gauge moves fast or slow? Gauge goes all the way up into red? Happens while driving? Happens when stopped & idling? etc...

The gauge sender is in the end of the head, it has a single wire. Unplug it. The gauge should drop to cold. If you can wiggle the wire & cause the gauge to rise at all, then you need to fix that.

Was it the coolant temperature sensor that was faulty?
