Default Accord ctdi intercooler & blow off valve

Hi everyone, I am new here and I am looking for some advise/information, I have a Honda Accord 2005 2.2 Ctdi and recently I have replaced the standard air filter with a K&N cone filter, and I saw a little improvement in performance. Now I was talking with some friends and they suggested that I could also do a Blow Off Valve and a universal inter-cooler (instead of the factory one, and bigger) in the opening of the front bumper. I would like to know you opinion about this...and will it improve a little performance or not? Thanks everyone...

Since Honda doesn't send any diesels at all to the USA, most of us aren't very familiar.

Better cooling & less restriction seem like good things, but only to the extent that the stock cooler is restrictive. But if the boost is controlled on mass-flow-rate, then a larger cooler might not improve things. That's broad generalization, because I don't know how the control system is working anyway...
