Default Front Mount Intercooler

Sup....i was told by a friend of mine that i can use a front mount intercooler (without a turbo) as a front air intake or air dam....in theroy it makes since seeing as how cooler denser air would flow into it and into the intake manifold...but is this true?? and if so how can i make this happen? thanks in advance...g22 where u at son??!!??

what your talking about a interfooler...not worth the money. Also you will get allot of crap from ppl for being a poser. A reg. CAI works much better with air flow and cooling. Stick with a normal intake set up.

Do some searching on "interfoolers" you will see what I mean.

running 2 CAI?? I don't see how you can do that since you only have 1 TB...and what would be the point?

I was going 2 install a "Y" pipe coming off my current pipe, run another pipe and filter behind my fans and install my current filter back in its exsiting location.... i assume that it would ingest my tb with more air

Not necessarily. The total intake system is limited by whatever piece is the most restrictive. Maybe that's the throttle-body itself? Or the mixing point might have enough momentum-loss that it becomes the restriction.

yes your CAI will be fine. Adding a 2nd filter isn’t going to increase the air flow any. Your engine can only such soo much air in anyways. That’s why when you want added air flow you go forced induction (turbo/super charger)
