Default Accord Performance Upgrades

I have the Honda Accord 07 4cyl 2.4L VTEC DOHC my engine model is the K24A8.

I have installed a K&N Short Ram 69 Typhoon, A'pexi WS2 Exhaust, and DC 4-1 Stainless steel headers.

My question is moving on from airflow, what are some next steps for performance upgrades to my engine?

I have looked into upgrading the dual cams with the Skunk2 Stage 1 cams, and then following up with the a new valve train.

I am just curious of what other steps I can take here to increase horsepower and torque without jeopardizing the engine.

Now I have heard that my best bet is to simply swap my engine, but any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

If you have the fund to swap out the engine, i would suggest that you turbocharge your K24.

I agree boosting your engine will be cheaper than but just not as reliable as a n/a engine. But when it comes to performance there is always give and take. If you take the power rout you are gonna sacrifice reliability.

Also remember this...

fast

cheap

reliable.....you can only pick two

So if I take your statement correctly, what I am looking at doing now are these upgrades:

Skunk2 Pro series cam Gears
Skunk2 Stage1(or stage2, can't decide) Camshafts
Valve Springs and Titanium Retainers(to compensate for the Stage1/2 cams)

Do these steps here seem to follow some train of logical thought? Again, I am brand new to the world of modding and these are just things that I've spoken with people about and then later read about.
(P.S. yes this is the Fast/Reliable route, no cheap here )

Look into Bisimoto K series stuff. Also I don't know how it works with K series but you will want a new tune. I'm not sure if you can just chip a ecu and get a tune done. You will need a tune for the new cams and gears...but you will also benefit b/c you have exhaust and intake also. K series is a whole new ball game than the H/F series engines. I don't know much about them. That would be some research you would have to do.
