I'm new to this website and I sure this question has been asked before. Looking for the best peformance upgrades for the 3.0 motor. chips,coils,throttle bodies? Been surfin the internet and not coming up with much. Any suggestions would be appeciated.

That's because there really isn't much, nor will there ever be. Why? Several reasons really:

• The V6 motor breathes pretty well with factory parts so the addition of stuff like intakes and exahusts will do virtually nothing for the output of the motor.
• Engines with the V6 layout are, by definition, larger motors; larger motors equate to a much more crowded engine bay which will in turn leave little if any room for forced induction hardware and plumbing.
• Even if there was a relatively inexpensive upgrade for the V6 which could be made to fit in the engine bay, then you need to deal with the fact that the automatic transmission has long been deemed brittle if not downright fragile.
• Yes, there are a few (very-very few) Gen 7 Accord Coupe V6 models with manual transmissions, but their numbers are so small that there just is no market for someone to sell V6 upgrades.

 

The engine already has more power than the transmission can handle. Don't abuse the transmission, if it's an automatic.

 

So Chevelle, everyone else is giving you good, positive advice. I'm going to be the devil on your shoulder who tells you about the guy running a V6 Accord coupe with twin turbos...
