Default best motor and tranny swap for 96 accord

ive thought about getting a new car, and figured that a new motor and tranny would be the cheaper of the two choices, so i would like to know wat motor and tranny would be the best swap, and if i could get a new crate motor wat the best one would be.

ok guys he was looking for the cheaper option, a k series swap would be extremely expensive, hell even my h22 swap is costing more than the car is worth.

but a h22/f20b swap is the cheaper easier route.

if you are loaded then a k20/24 swap.

He said a engine/tranny swap would be cheaper than buying a new car, not what engine/tranny swap was the cheapest. He asked what would then be the best, insert my answer. Out of all the options available, it is the best.

ok. let me clear things up. i payd 2800 for my accord, it has a f22b2 non vtec in it/ auto tranny.

im looking to spent around 2-4K on engine and tranny. the tranny doesnot have to be new. i can rebuild it with all new parts. but i prefer the motor to be as new as possable.

i would switch to a smaller engine if i could supercharge it with little cost.

so if any one has some stuff laying around let me know
