Default car jerks sometimes

hey everybody got a question about my 90 accord. sometimes while im driving the car starts to jerk for no apparent reason. it seems like it gets possessed lol. for example when im in 1st, i hear a little bit of popping sounds from my exhaust. then when i shift to second and give it gas, it starts shaking. i might need a tune-up im not sure. what are your ideas my fellow honda owners?

I would pull the distributor cap off and check the condition of the cap and rotor. Could be getting old.

Also when was the last time the wires were replaced (if ever) and spark plugs too?
