Default cars with replaced engine?

Hi,

Is there a real problem with cars that have a replaced engine (98-02 or 03+ Accords)? For instance, buying a used car that has a replaced engine, and thus has low mileage. I imagine if the engine was replaced due to an accident, there could be other structural problems. But if there were no accidents, and it's just that the engine broke and needed replacement, would the car be any otherwise less reliable? Thanks.

There's gotta be more of a story, problem is you have a hard time finding out the truth.

If the engine was destroyed by continuing to run with low (or none) oil, then that same level of neglect might be present everywhere thru the car. Or not.

If it was banged up in a collision, you're right there should be other damage.
