Clicking noise under hood on 2020 Accord Touring
Hi all. This is my first post to the forum. I have a 2020 Accord Touring that I bought last year with 16,000 miles on it. Runs great. 2.0T engine. It now has 25,000 mi. I recently noticed a clicking noise coming from the front end while driving. Especially when I hit the brakes the noise would get louder. I thought it was the brakes. I popped the hood and the noise appeared to be coming from a plastic valve attached to the air intake duct between the air filter and the throttle body. It has vacumn hoses attached to it along with it being tapped into the duct. Actually there are two plastic valves attached to the duct in the same area. So I think that when I hit the brakes, the brake booster changes the vacumn pressure and the clicking gets louder. I'm not sure what these valves do.
I took it to the dealer and they say it's the turbo valve, blah blah blah and it's normal. It didn't do it when I got it so no, it's not normal. I'm going to check my friends 2018 Accord Sport 2.0T to see if it makes any noise.
Anyone run into this before. Thanks.
