RE: Clutch Fail
could've been much worse given the symptoms.... aren't you glad you drive a manual? glad you got if fixed!

RE: Clutch Fail
ORIGINAL: chopperkid44 yeah. so turns out the steering wheels was off alignment, the oil sensor was leaking, and the master cylinder for the clutch needed to be replaced $800. not too terribly bad |
RE: Clutch Fail
labor....labor...lol
|
RE: Clutch Fail
There should NOT be that much labor involved in changing those things. An experienced tech can change a master cylinder in under 30 minutes!
|
RE: Clutch Fail
Aren't master cylinders quite expensive? Not to mention most experienced techs work off flat rate so how fast they can do the job makes no difference...

RE: Clutch Fail
Genuine Honda clutch mater cyl assembly is $85.38 from Majestic Honda: http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...ASTER+CYLINDER
I assume changing one is similar to changing a brake master cylinder, which is not too difficult for a fairly inexperienced mechanic such as myself with a helper and maybe somebeer[sm=icon_cheers.gif]. |
RE: Clutch Fail
I assumed they were closer to a couple hundred but I don't know since I've never done one...
