Clutch or Transmission? want to burn out!
hello everyone so some of you might know i had a problem two weeks ago with my manual 5sp transmission not going into reverse... well i went out and got another one, resurfaced flywheel, new throw out bearing, clutch disk, and pressure plate...
now when i had my old transmission my car would shake and rattle when i would attempt a burn out off from first gear, the clutch slipped alot and made a clank clank sound and the car felt like it lossed power then gained it then lossed it over and over till the clutch grabbed i guess...
so my first question is do i need to like break in the new clutch?
coz on the way back from work yesterday i did a lil burn out in the parking lot and it was fine... but then when i tried it again in the morning it seemed to be slipping again... this is not cool
in anycase i beat the crap out of the clutch thinking it would go away but all i got was a smelly clutch smelling car and i think the problem got worse... but i can still burn out lol...
just cant rev past 5000rpm before releasing the clutch or it will slip pull slip pull slip pull

You're going to burn out that new clutch before you know it. That transmission and OE flywheel and clutch were not designed to handle that kind of stuff. If you want the clutch not to slip so you can drop it at higher revs, you should've gotten a better clutch, but then you would then be transferring stresses taken off of the clutch to the transmission gear and axles.
You should have broken it in. I just put in a new Kevlar clutch and it needed a 700 mile break in period of CITY DRIVING to properly put the clutch through some heat up/cool down cycles. I'm at 1000 miles now and I can safely, unintentionally chirp 1st and 2nd if I feel like it.
