Couple questions bout the F23A4...
K so yah I have the ULEV....im sure it gets me green points some where....but it does come with some questions.
Have had this car a little over 2 months and want to do some work to it. What I am wondering is how close is the F23a4 and the normal EX engine the f23a1 as far as aftermarket parts go?
If I buy intake/exhaust/headers/turbo kit etc that is designed for the normal EX's a1 will it work just as well and fit just as well on the EX a4? I think the engine designs are fairly similar except for some of the internals so Id think bolt-ons would be able to work on the ULEV and normal engines but not sure.

The foreseeable problem, and it may not be a problem,is that the A4 has a different Exhaust manifold from the A1.
Other than that, good to go on any other bolt ons.Intake, exhaust,Turbo, car seats, and hub caps.

how much of a pain would it be to swap out the manifolds? is the manifold attached differently between ULEV and normal? or same hook up but different manifold only...tryin to plan this build out...
btw thanks for the help

I think youll be fine to use a A1 header... the A4 uses a wideband O2 sensor so the sensor is placed right in the middle where all 4 cylinders meet. I dont know what kind of problems that may cause moving the sensor to a differnet spot.
