Make no mistake, Honda will take all the abuse you can throw at it! You just have to remember that ANY car will only treat you as good as you treat it! PREVENTIVE maintenance is the key!!
Didn't know about the Spec V, almost bought one too!

Yes, I do all my Preventative maintenance on it. I now have over 72K miles, so in the summer, probably will do a coolant flush and change, then once I hit about 80k + miles, probably get the tranny completely flushed out...not just a tranny oil change. 100k miles, I get the major service, tune-up (timing belt, sparks, etc.). As parts need to be changed, I will mod the car as well.

That sounds like a plan!

.....and yeah, we had an '04 Spec V and it was a ****ing nightmare! Really a shame too, because the car had so much potential! Nissan just made a few catastrophic mistakes with the engine and what made it worse, is that they wouldn't own up to it! That's what did it for me! I'll never buy another Nissan! (Another shame, because their styling is on point these days! (for thwe most part)

Here's a pic of ours:

Wow, what did you do to it in terms of mods? Waht it mostly cosmetic, or did you play with the engine and the power?

Nah, I didn't mod that car at all. The only reason I did the front end was because my girl hit a truck tire on the highway and busted the front bumper up. I was able to get this front end for less than the stock replacement, so I said hell with it and got this one and did the eyelids and driving lights when I painted it.

I have this philosophy these days: "If it breaks, upgrade it!"
