Default EGR Valve

check engine light is on, ran the codes supposedly bad egr valve. Should i buy a new from honda for $175 or go with a used ebay one for $50?

Was your code from the OBII PO400.401,402,403,404,405 or P0406??

check dealer for recall, my 2000 had a recall on this item, but i heard about it too late. belw past the miles

the problem that i had, could only be fixed by a dealer, the firestone shop could not get the part nor some sort of tool that was needed to fix the problem, the old "dealer only item ploy"

i spent about 250 at the dealer to have it taken care of, part and labour since then my engine is running smooth and powerfull. no more code problems

i find with these things, dont cheap out, get the job done right , the pay off is in the optimal perfomance of your engine, after all, if your a driver, this is what you want. when my egr went, it seriously messed with engine performance.

Yea i noticed my engine performance as been ****ty lately, i think i'll just cough up the money and let the dealer replace it.
