Your not going to beat his supra without spending more money than it would cost to go out and buy a faster car.

p.s. you are not going to get 700 hp out of an h22 (or ANY honda engine you could swap in your car) without some major crazy modifications

Yeah I agree. Supra has a lot of power (plus rear wheel drive). NSX and Supra will have a close race (I won't know who will win in that case). Tell your cousin you can't compare a Accord (mainly a family sedan vs. a pocket rocket/sports car).

L2R: The H22 has compression ratios as follows: USA -- 10:1, JDM -- 10.6 to 11.0:1
The H23 has compression ratios as follows: 9.8:1, DOHC VTEC -- 10.6:1

Since the non-VTEC head would be used for a boost setup, the lower comp. ratio of the H23 head would take boost better. This would result in a C/R of 9.4:1

If your cousins Supra only has 300hp, then it wouldn't take much more than that in your Accord to beat it. Since your Accord is actually lighter, you would have better power to weight ratio, and that's what makes a car fast. An Elise is a good example...it doesn't even have 200hp...yet stock can beat a Supra because the Elise wieghs less than 2000lbs but the Supra weighs over 3200

justhonda: you need to start your own thread rather than jacking this one. Also, search for how to retrieve the code for the check engine light. Otherwise, Autozone can pull the code, but get the code and not their diagnostics since they are very often wrong.

you too .... I know that you are new here and we do want to help, but use the search function first, then start your own thread! Also, if you don't have a signature, don't expect many responses .... it takes about 30 seconds to set it up in your profile.

If the leak is between the block and the head, it needs a new head gasket. Please search the DIY section and then use the search tool. If you still need help, start a new thread.
