Default Engine Choice

Hello! I have an 03 Accord Ex. Unfortunately, I think I have that "issue" that some of these Accords have....excessive oil consumption. Swapping the engine is something I am considering. Does anyone know if the 04-07 engines are any better?

Thanks...

It depends, which engine do you have in your car?

With an 03 accord ex 4cyl, could I swap with an 06-07 engine and be ok? I don't want to run the risk of picking up another bad 03 engine

The 2003-2005 Accord uses the K24A4 engine, the 2006-2007 Accord uses the K24A8 engine; I do not know if they are plug compatible or not.

Ok. I will look at an 05 engine. The rebuilds cost a pretty penny.... 😳
