Default Engine swap in 91 accord

I just picked up a 91 accord for 1000.00, the car is in great shape but I'm planning on modding it extensively. I'm brand new to Honda since I own mostly subarus. I just wanted something cheap to use as a daily to keep the miles off my STi. So my question is what motors will fit in this car? Type-R possibly? Im starting with a bone stock 91...

Certainly someone with more knowledge (than I) of engines will chime in soon, however, allow me this opportunity to welcome you to the forum

This area is pretty much for welcome & introductions. I'm going to move this post over to the "Engine/Internal" area where the right people would see it.

Default Engine swap

My friend told me the H22 & H23 would be the best options, is this correct?

People have done that. Other people have said boosting the F-series is better. I personally don't really know which way is better.
