all f22 blocks are 85mm bore iron cyl walls
all f23 blocks are 86mm bore iron cyl walls
all h series blocks are 87mm bore and fiber-reinforced metal (FRM) cyl walls

Now with the f series engines you can use any type of piston you want. You can play with c/r to your liking b/c iron cyl walls are accept just about any type of piston.
The h series engines have what are called CFM cyl walls the old timers call it "weave metal" b/c basically that’s what it is. Bunch of metal weaved 2geather. It's very strong and light but you can only use a certain type of piston. I believe its b/c of the type of metal they are made out of.
H series engines have a higher c/r then f series engines. So for most ppl who want to turbo a h series engine has to re-sleeve the block. That’s major $$$$$$$$$ just so they can use any type of piston they want. So then you have a h22/23 engine with iron cyl walls. So then you come to the f series blocks they have iron sleeves they are dime a dozen and have low c/r pistons stock. So they are perfect for boosting and very cheap to build.

yeah f22b has the same block as any other f22 engine. Just has IMO really crappie heads. In my eyes if I owned a f22b"x" engine a head swap would be a must to me. I would either swap for a h series head or a f22a1/4/6 head much better flowing and has better aftermarket support for parts

if you don't know what your doing (and is seems that way since your asking this question) they don't attempt this swap. Research is much needed...MUCH NEEDED

I do know what I am doin just because I don't know every part of a head that would match to a completely different block of a different series doesn't mean I don't know what I am doin. Its possible I just don't know what will all work

it won't be all that reliable and for the money (unless you have all the parts lying around) it's really not worth it that and the headaches. You might pull 160ish hp out of it. With the f22 block has low red line so does not take advantage of vtec since h22 cams mainly make power in vtec. You also have to weld the 2 oil ports in the head shut or find another way to keep it shut. Some ppl use freeze plugs and Hondabond but it normally still leaks.
