Default F22B2 to F22B6?

I'm getting an F22B6 put in my 97 Accord SE. The motor that's in my car is an F22B2. Is this a pretty clean swap considering they are both 4cylinder and 2.2liters? I'm only getting this swap due to an engine failure. I'm only trying to get a clean swap with no worries.

Any swap is clean if you make it that way.. What exactly do you mean CLEAN? Do you mean EASY? Or plug-and-play? What.

By clean I mean easy because I don't want to have to swap my ECU or engine harness or anything like that.

Should be 'clean', same engine basically, you should have no issues.

Tf22b6 engine other than it came from the Odyssey and creates 10 more hp than the f22b2 engine

They seem identical but tuned differently. The accord uses a 4-1 cast header with P0A P0B ecu. The f22b6 uses the 4-2-1 header with P14 ecu for 1995 and P1E ecu for the 1996 and 1997 models. So the ECU swap is a MUST.

Is it bad if the engine is just swapped and not the ECU? Because I have a shop doing it for me and I'm supposed to pick my car up tomorrow :/

I'm sure it will run but might not run all that great. As the cam shafts are little bit different
F22B2 - Intake Lobe Height - 38.526mm
F22B2 - Exhaust Lobe Height - 38.778mm
F22B6 - Intake Lobe Height - 38.741mm
F22B6 - Exhaust Lobe Height - 38.972mm

It also uses a different exhaust manifold. As I stated before. So the tune is not going to be 100% perfect like your old engine was. I would bring this info to the mechanics attention and see if you can't find a P1E ecu. Most ppl don’t understand the importance of have the correct tune.

Well I want it to run good so couldn't I get an ecu pulled from a wrecked 95-97 Honda Odyssey? Seems that would be the cheapest way out of it since an ecu chip is pretty expensive.

yes that's what I suggested to do in my last post....
You need a P1E ecu that came out of the 96-97 Odyssey

Ok I got my car back and the engine runs really smooth. My only problem is that the engine won't go past 3000 rpms...very annoying. Is that because I didn't get the ecu swap? I didn't think something like that would cause my engine not to go past 3000 rpms. It acts like it has a governor on it even in neutral. It feels like it bogs down. Please help me fix this!
