F23A1 Swap? any ideas?
I have a 98' accord with the f23a1 motor in it its only pushing 150 hp i want more.. i've being contemplating an h22 swap but from what i can tell its gonna be costly. I'm willing to bite the bullet if i have to. any ideas on how to get the most power for my accord??

stick with the 4cyl if your going to turbo it.
If you TRULY want to do it the right way. You could turbo your stock engine and make some good power. But your really not helping me out by not giving me any power goals or price range.
To turbo a engine it could cost you from 3k to 10k depending on your power goals and wants. The v6 engines aren’t anything to get excited about. They also don't have much aftermarket support for parts.
Now if you want to have a beast of a engine I would do a h22 swap then turbo it. But that will cost a good bit of money.
Now my next question is are you a 5speed or auto?
If your a auto then a 5speed is a must if you want to make any more power than what you are pushing....you will want to do a 5speed swap before you do anything.
If your 5speed your good to go. But I do recommend you do a TON of research before buying anything. Know what your getting yourself into. Not just putting a turbo kit together but also the extra maintenance you will have to do also.

its a 5 spd and im looking to get anywhere between 250-300 hrs. would the h22 from a 98' prelude swap into the accord or would the mounts be different. and would the trans line up. could i just get the engine or would it be worth to get a donare prelude ?

i was also wondeing about the B18c type R i know its only a 1.8 but it already pushes like 200-210. oh and this is, or atleast for now, my daily driver so i also have to ask. Which, if you know, is more reliable (although all honda is pretty reliable mines got just over 450 and bod is beautiful minus some dinges and scratches that will be coming out in the spring)

The F23 comes stock with a very solid block great for boost for up to around 7psi (I read 18 psi somewhere). But thats with a DAMN GOOD TUNE!!! Swapping in a V6 requires the V6 subframe. you're better off just buying a V6 and swapping in the 6 speed. and hell, while you're at it throw in the J32 or J35.
H22 will give you some more power, but you're gonna lose some torque and the wiring can be pain.
Everything you want to do requires A LOT of time, money, and research.
Do some more research and see what you can come up with.
check out 6thgenaccord.com there is loads of useful info there for 98-02 accords.

I agree with snoobly when he says b18 wouldn't be worth it. If you do the work yourself, I'd suggest putting in either an h22 or h23a vtec. And depending on how much money you have to spend, you might want to look into getting a B series transmission. There's a few places to go to get an h2b kit for a decent price
