Techron and Seafoam is where its at. Iv used Seafoam as long as I have known anything about engines. But Iv started using Techron since the Seafoam company decided to jack the price from $5 a can to $11 so they can kiss my a$$. Advance Auto Parts has a BOGO on Techron. Well I think they are still doing it I bought some about a week ago. its like $7 for 2 bottles. I remember back in the day they didnt use FI cleaner they just beat the s**t out of the car (high revving) That and they would use good ol' H20 in carb motors. That’s how my dad said they use to do it and he has been in the car biz longer then I have been alive.
But the down fall about Techron is you cant use it like Seafoam. Seafoam you can run it through the intake mani unlike Techron you can ONLY put in the gas tank. Trust me Iv tried if you put Techron in the intake mani you will throw a CEL for fuel system.
