its not a down grade, they are rated the same in hp, and a h22 would romp on your v6.

however, its not worth it, because your car is a v6 so it makes the swap harder/more epensive, and its a 99 so have fun getting it to pass inspection

it would take a whole lot more work than its worth to make it fit because the accord V6s engine bay is bigger than the 4cyl. and inspection i mean like state inspection(if your state has it)

nvm i see your state is florida and if i am correct they dont have inspection, so thats not a problem

Also there is a legality issue with installing engine from an older model car into a new one. So any 98 or older h22 will be considered an illegal swap (emissions wise) on your 99. Again, this is only a problem if your state has emissions inspection.

I believe this info is correct, but others please correct me if I am wrong.

HELL TO THE MOTHERF***ing NO!the V6 possesses more torque!and you do realize that to get a H22 with 5 speed AND then after installation is going to actually cost you around the same as to changing your V6 to 6 speed.....look plain and simple. either sell your V6(seeing how V6 hasa higher value then theI-4)and get an I-4 with manual or keep it auto or do the 6 speed manual because that right there is just plain nonsense. and yes it would be a downgrade, just because an engine PRODUCES 200Hp it doesn't necassarily mean that he'll be getting those to the wheels..

HP is a ficticious number created for novices to be able to compare engine power from engines that do not perform the same.

HP = ft.lbs. of torque * RPM / 5252

The engine bay of the v6 is not bigger than the 4cyl on the 6thgen accords. That only applies to the 5thgen accords.

my b i only know 5th gens so assumed it would be the same

and they are both rated for 200hp and i know that obviously whp is diff than bhp, but i'm saying race that v6 vs a h22 accord and see what wins.
