Default head gasket issues

im leaking quite a bit of oil from my 89 accord lxi. oil on right third of the manifold heat shield. oil drips down from same area and burns creating white smoke (quite embarrassing). the car has 290k miles.... can i drive with this? its not over heating. thanks for your advice/opinion.

Sounds like a valve cover gasket not a head gasket. Buy a Fel-Pro gasket set from Napa and swap it out, and put some Permatex RTV Silicone Gasket Maker on the sharp corners where the gasket goes over the cam.
