Default Hello fellow earthlings

i been out of the car scene for awhile, i have owned integra's, civic's and a prelude and many more that are not honda's but never an accord.

I am looking into buy the 6th gen accord sedan as an every day car. the reason i am going the sedan route is for the family also. My question is do they make a DOHC that is not a Vtec that i would be able to swap over. never was a fan of the vtec i guess its just a personal prefrence. If they do is there a 6 spd trany to bolt up to it?

if it helps i dream of wanting to put a turbo in it eventually.

thanks.

Welcome and thank you for joining.

You are going to be better off with a manual in that gen.

thats good with me, i prefer to have a manual. is there much difference other then the factory hp from the j30a1 and the j32a1 or a2 im only asking because if i get an accord that comes with a 4 cyl or just want the bigger motor if it already has the v6

been doing some searching looks like all the j series are sohc. so now that leave me with were can i get a 6 spd manual from? or is there that much difference from the 5 spd or the 6spd, other then having that xtra highway gear which would be nice.

glad to be here. if you would like for me to post this in a different section please let me know. i will be happy too.
