chipped and tuned obd1 p28.
If your not going turbo you will need to swap out your pistons for more compression or your head swap will be completely useless and so will vtec with the f22 pistons.
Your best bet is to get some bisi f22 pistons that are high compression. But you need to do your home work about what c/r you will end up with. When slapping a h22 head on a f22 block your c/r drops from 8:8:1 to 8:4:1....great for boost not for all motor. So now you have to do the math and get your compression right b/c you can buy pistons that will be lets say (just throwing number out there) 11:1:1 but with the h22 head on the block it won’t be 11:1:1 it will be in the 10's. Get what I'm saying?? Since the h22 head has a 53cc dome and the f22 cyl is a 50cc dome you lose compression. Also I hope you have a good bit of money to throw at this build. b/c if you don't build this Frank engine 110% right it will fail. Do some research about g22 builds 90% of the ppl who build them end up backing out of the build b/c of error and lack of engine building skills. Not saying you can't build this engine right but your asking questions that you should already know if building this engine. This set up isn’t just a walk in the park...So you know this swap will give you a huge headache. I'm hear to help if you need it. But plan ahead don;t jus start trying to build this engine and hope it will work. A lot of time will go into making this g22 engine work the RIGHT way with no failure

Also if you plan on only using this h22 head for g series swap ONLY I recommend welding the 2 oil drains shut not just sealing them with the hondabond. But if you do this head will only be good for f22 blocks can't put it back on a h22. But hat is the best way to go. B/c after a while the hondabond fails and the oil ports open up drain your oil all over the outside of your block. Big mess and then you have to take the head off fix and hope you didn’t spin a bearing due to lack of oil. It's just a tip to help avoid a HUGE headache down the road.

the cost of a SC will be the same as a turbo set up. You yield more power from the turbo than you will from the SC. Also SC is a PITA to install in our tight engine bays
