I have a 2005 honda accord LX sedan 4cyl...
i was driving and i made a stop, when i accelerated again i heard a crack under the car and then my check engine light came on, when i put it in parking the green blinking light next to the D started to flash. The car moves but it cracks every time i move from P to D and start accelerating. could it be the transmission? has any one else experience this problem? thanks in advance.

once diagnosed that this is the problem, Honda may offer a good-will replacement .... aka, they give you the tranny and you pay for the installation. I've heard of cases where they did the swap even though technically they didn't have to also.

Well, I got rid of mine with a dead tranny at 90k. It was a 6th gen V6, the worst tranny that Honda's made to date. They lost a multi-billion dollar class action suit over it. By 2005, there weren't really any inherent flaws left, but to answer your question, Honda's trannies have not been the bulletproof boxes that they built their reputation on.
As far as I know, common Honda trannies for problems are the 6th gen autos, 4 and 6 cylinder models, and the 7th gen 6 speed manual (smaglik). Also, the Acura 5AT triptonic that corresponds to the 6th gen has issues too ..... my brother's was replaced.
The 6th gen auto problem seems to have spilled into the first few runs of the 7th gen .... 2003 and some 2004's.
My best friend's EP3 Civic SI had a tranny replacement too ..... just to give you an idea of reputation vs. current reality.
IMO, you have to bite the bullet on this one and visit your local stealership.
