I'll spell it out, since the penny hasn't dropped yet; the auto box will break because it's not very strong...

yea just suck it up and learn how to drive stick, you will have much more fun with the stick than with that auto g23 build. Get a stick car, learn how to drive stick, then think about buildingthe stick car. like everyone here has told you the auto will die if you try to pump noticeable hp + tq gains thru it and u will get laughed at when it does blow up. Not trying to be mean, just hate to see u waste your money and time
Don't forget about the water pipe issue as well...
Master, go to a gas station or bookstore and buy this months issue or Import Tuner or Modified Mag, they have a great article on the G23.
One of the mags has a silver Civic hatch and chick on the front and the other has a Hyundai Genesis Coupe...

p.s.-acting like its a 5spd lx
1. make sure the gear is in neutral and the clutch is down when starting
2.when the car is started leave the clutch down and push down and shift to reverse...let off the clutch slowly while giving it a little gas
3. shift into neutral then the 1st gear
4. let off of the clutch slowly and push the gas down slowly[[pendulum]]
5.when car starts to move graduly let off of the clutch and begin to drive...
6. when coming to a stop sign push down clutch and shift into neutral then press the brake
7. repeat steps 3-5
tht about all i remember...dont know exactly what to do on a hill tho...and yes there is one hill by my house and its damn steep...so yea what do you do on a hill??..

Not bad for the steps... usually if its a stop sign I'll just coast with the clutch in and shift to first... none of that fussing around with neutral.
Once you get the hang of driving a manual... hills arent a big deal. But, you can hold the e-brake lever up without locking it while you let the clutch out and give it some gas as the same time. This way you can have you foot off the brake to "load the clutch" and not roll back when you let the e-brake down.
