Just got an 02 Accord SE 4 cylinder VTECH,what should I look to replace,upgrade, etc?

Default Just got an 02 Accord SE 4 cylinder VTECH,what should I look to replace,upgrade, etc?

Also what parts/manufacturers do you recommend?

depends on what your trying to do. What power goals are your trying to accomplish. How much money you want to spend ect. ect. ect. We need few more details.
Searching will be your best friend. Also before you get picked on by others. It's "vtec" not "vtech"

Maintenance recommendations so it lasts a few years. Better gas mileage. Performance would be nice but I don't care really.

Money is not an issue. Kinda would like the car to last a few years.

I would reccommend a new timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, new belts, I would also invest in a higher end aftermarket intake system, more hp and better gas mileage. pm me if you need any prices on anything

as bodyman said. keep up with your maintenance. If you take care of your honda your honda will take care of you.


Intakes do tend to help out with gas millage. But ONLY if you keep driving the way you did before. You want to press the pedal down more b/c you have a snappier throttle response. You can also look into hypermiling…that will teach you how to drive and save lots of gas.

if you have an Auto trans - they have a TON of problems, hopefully u have a 5 speed
