Default AT to MT. Is it worth it?

I love driving both MT and AT, obviously MT isa lot more fun and saves you a little gas but is it really worth it changing from AT to MT? I know I would have a lot more fun driving the car, but how much would it cost? I've heard over 400 bucks and that just isn't worth it to me for that amount. Maybe if it was 200 bucks or so.

The parts alone would probably run more than $400. Unless you plan on doing it yourself I cannot imagine how much you would pay a shop in labor. Not worth it unless you do it yourself and will enjoy the project.

You'd be lucky to find the tranny for under $400.00 let alone the clutch, pressure plate, drive axles, shift cables, shift pedal, center console, shifter, tranny control unit.....

Wow. That's a lot of cash. 2 grand is half of what I paid for the car! Yeah it's not worth ifit's that much. i was just seeing if my friend actually was talking withany sense.

How about if someone who has a MT wantedAT?Could we do a swap of some sort?

I prefer MT but IMO the only way I would consider it is if your AT is trashed, and you have access to a complete MT car from a junkyard to gather all the bits and pieces required.

If someone wanted to swap with you and you're up for doing the work then that'd be a great way to do it and you'd only be out the cost of some fluids and gaskets...

IMO its not worth it at all, esp in accords, because the swap costs as much as the car is worth, and doesnt raise the value of the car at all.

i would rather just buy a car that is MT
