How sad of me my AT transmission died on my accord and I had that one rebuilt for about $900. I really wanted to pay some extra money and have it converted to a MT but my dad said no lol. Sucks to be 17.
the real question he should be asking himself is, "what do i want to do with the car?". if its just a beater, leave it auto if you dont care. wanna race it, take it to the track, build the motor? 5 speed perhaps then. everything together including the tranny should run about $1500-$2000, that includes labor. by yourself might run you $600-$800. but, this is a decision the poster should ask himself first. decide the direction you want to take the car and go from there.
haha. It sure does man. I'm 17 to. I was just curious to see what the price was. My bonehead friend always is talking about how he loves manualsthis and that and how 'bad' mycar would be if it was stick. and I toldhim it'd cost way to much then hesaid it shouldn't cost 400 bucks. and I thought if it was 400 bucks of my own money, I might do it.
But I'm not. I'm just going to wait until I start college to get a300zx/240sx which willbe MTand leave the Accord to being an AT.
