Default need some help

well im new to this forum and i need some help and tips, well i have 01 accord v6 A/T and i recently put a AEM V2 intake on it and it makes a very good difference on the V6 but im trying to get more out of that V6 and i recently was looking on buying a magnaflow cat-back exhaust and headers. And i would like to get more out of it without spending a lot beacuse i heared about superchips programmers or their custome chips and they also have to dyno itbut their running about 1,200 for a chip and idont have that much money for no2 or aturbo what would you guys recomend?

signature ..... even though you posted the info

N2O is around $500-600 installed.

Look at Apexi electornics such as V-AFC. Perhaps a Unorthodox Racing pulley set.

ive been thinking about that a lot but wouldent i have to upgrade in cylinder heads or something or beef up the engine some more to not damage it and that way the engine will handle the n2o?

You can get away with a small shot of NO2 without damaging the internals, you may need a tranny cooler though.... I'd just do the basic upgrades, headers (if you can find them), catback exhaust, under-drive pulleys,

well thats what i would need to wait on for the magnaflow cat-back and the decent headers i have seen are dc headers i already have a v2 intake ima have to check out that tranny cooler at to see if we carry any and if i could get a discount on it.

I wouldn't expect any problems from a 35 dry shot or 50 wet. I'm thinking of throwing in a 75 wet shot! ... and SN is correct, the 6th gen AT needs a tranny cooler.

I rather you save your money for a tranny swap.

Tranny swaps cost about half of the value of our cars! Not worth it IMO. I wonder about swapping to a newer OEM AT, but I'd expect that if it were possible, I'd have seen it done.

yea it does cost alot, but it'll save you alot more when his transmission blows from shots of NO2 or any kind of FI.
Even with goodwill from Honda, there's still a chance of the new rebuilt tranny failing. And trust me, Honda is not going to do goodwill if they know you have some kind of FI on your car.

From what I've read, there's almost as much of a chance of failure on the Dr. Evil tranny. The shots that I recommended are safe enough for his car. As long as an rpm window switch is used, there won't be a lot of extra strain on the tranny ..... and the engine can take a whole lot more than the tranny.

Oh yeah ..... did I forget to mention that bolt-ons really don't do much for a 6th gen AV6? It would cost AT LEAST 5 times as much to get the performance out of bolt-ons that you can safely get out of juice.
