RE: NEWBIE, PICKING UP MY H22 ACCORD NEXT WEEK
thats what I thought, seriously the engine sounds like a sewing machine, no delay to the (ebay special)muffler either. Its a strong engine, but it doesnt seem like its getting the benefit of all the mods at all. Its a well known car of the small import scene we have in our city. I have heard rumours that it might be losing compression but I asked the previous two owners and they claim that there are no problems. A simple compression check will tell but I seriously doubt it is, and if it is most of the time I understand thats a cheap fix. I dont know how to go about getting matenence parts for it as it is a JDM engine, also have no idea how many actual miles are on the engine (what is their average life, these H22A?) It has 159.000 to the body.. Also it would be cool to find out if I have LSD or not. It needs new front rotors badly, and does have a few minor cosmetic problems the most major being a four inch long deep keying (bastards!). The AC works but only on settings 2 and 4, any ideas for a remedy? Also need to replace the rims/tires as the rims have chips and the back tires are pretty much on their last months of life. I need a good light setup for rims/tires. As mentioned before the car is lowered with spings not coilovers. The ebay special muffler sucks ***, im a pissed off bumble bee, I would like a nice mellow muffler. Also has a carbon fiber *style* hood, and the stock hood. no cd player

You can go towww.cb7tuner.com It won'thave everything you need to know about your accord, since it's mostly for the 90-93 crowd, but they have a lot of info on the h22a since it is so common a swap for the cb7's...and a lot of that info can transfer toyour generation.

Don't bury the tach, please, unless you like rebuilding motors. Probably puts 160-165 to the wheels.
