anyone know of a way to turn my maint req light off, WITHOUT using the odometer reset button, the mechanism in the gauge cluster for it is somehow broken. and "resetting" the ecu didnt do it. aka pulling the pos batt lead for 10 min. thanks.

I don't know of any way to do it without a working trip reset switch on a 98. It doesn't hurt anything to have it on though.
