How much do dyno tests go for? I'll probably do it. But seriously, I need information about the SRI intake. So basically the heats no big deal?

The place I use is $75 for 3 pulls, that seems to be the going rate.

It's fine... dyno'ing is not cheap, usually in the area of $100/hr for renting, maybe a little more for tuning around here

Another question that I have is will I lose power with a SRI because of the heat? If that is true, if I heat wrap it will I get the power back?

you wont have as much power as a cold air intake but you'll still see an improvement over oem. the heat wrap will definitely help, but the air going into the filter will still be warm. im about to convert my cold air into a short ram though. better throttle response

Sounds great. Thanks for all your help

I had a CAI on my Accord. IMHO, SRI is better due to ease of maintenance ..... all other factors are negligible or irrelevant.

If you have insane snow or flooding where you live, stay away from CAI.

Stanley9875 02-02-2009 08:45 PM

Not where I live. I live where it rains often and the rest is hot. And rain here isnt too bad, but I would never take my baby to the snow. My dads truck, sure haha but I'm going to go with the SRI

Dyno run goes for around $90/3 pulls on average where im from..

And more to get a tune...

And X2 on what falkore said,SRI is definitely easier to maintain.

I think it just depends on what you want. I've had both and they didnt seem too much different to me really. My cai hasnt really changed in throttle response or low end torque or take off. But you can tell a little difference when it gets up to about 3000rpm full throttle. It does sound cool though. Thats just my $.02
