Ponder on this puzzle :)
Hello all, ok so heres what I got and heres what I know. I am pulling code 12, 17, and 21. EGR malfunction, vss Malfunction, vtec solenoid malfunction.
I baught a 95 accord, when I first got it, the vtec did not work and the vss did not work. I ended pulling the vss sensor and cleaning it out and using some diaelectric grease and plugged it back in, It worked for about another month and a half and stopped again so I just put a new ebay yessss ebay replacement top half of the sensor. the car speedo is working now along with the vtec. I pulled these codes today and the vtec solenoid wasnt malfunctioning obvioulsy because i know the difference between having it an not and yes it is working with the light on. I have a slight bucking/hesitation after about 20 min after driving my accord. I just changed dizzy, plugs, thermostat, and I cleaned out the egr ports in the intake manifold. I baught all this for it because it needed a maintenance run. I didnt get the egr or vtec solenoid code until I changed out the top half of the sensor. The top half that was bad that I got to work for a month and a half has only 2 pins and the new cheap ebay one for 15
has 3 pins. It has a pin in the middle slot. I imagine this is just a ground pin but if it isn't just let me know someone plz. Any ideas on why codes and reasons for hesitation after 10-20 min of driving AFTER its already at operating temp. It also hesitates throughout all rpm ranges. I am changing the fuel filter soon so that is my last idea of what it could be.

Don't take this the wrong way but that is a bit of a hard read.
The vss should have three pins and three wires. It looks like the vss and vtec codes are gone now....Correct?
It sounds like you are down to the egr code. Time for some testing. I'd start simple, pull a vac on the egr valve - Does it hold?
Answer these and we can go from there.
