Default port and polish

Would port and polish do anything to an f23 with just the basic bolt ons or would it not be worth it? i know it would make a bigger difference if i had a turbo but i dont. Has anyone got a port and polish how much do you think it would cost?

It would do something, however the F series head doesn't flow as well as the H head (And might even flow as well as a stock H head after you port it and everything), so it might be cheaper to go that route. And you could port and polish that head and get even more flow!

As far as cost, it will vary place to place and by the amount of work you have done. One machine shop around here will port & polish along with a 3-angle valve job for like $450.

waste of money for what you get in return. Use a H22a / h23 head on it.

it wouldnt really be a waste because you can have an agressive cam in it. You just lack tuneability with a sohc, i need to find some details on the f23 block h23 head swap.... would be good to know what ecu to use

Honda's heads already flow extremely well. Why spend the money for a port and polish that gets you a few HP when you can spend it somewhere else and get more?

it depends on the engine head, and it depends on if you want to run higher boost or not on the engine, or the agressive cam and more air flow, but it still gets you more horse power then lowering the back seat. lol

youll really notice a port and polish, and your car will sound wayy different after you get it done espeically if you have intake/exhaust. not sure if the gain is worth the money though
