Default Problems Cranking Over.

I have noticed lately that my car has a hard time cranking up in the mornings when its especially moist outside. My first thought is possible crack or breach in my distributor cap. Insight please?

Not sure of the year or engine we are working with but cap. rotor, plugs and an inspection of the wires is considered normal maintenance so if they are close to due or not sure when they were last change I would start with that at the least.

Once the maintenance items are ruled out, if the issue is still there a little more info on the car and exactly what is happening will help with next steps/tests.

I'm assuming there are no stored codes in the ECM/PCM.

Hey again poorman. It's a 93 Honda Accord with the F22A1 motor. I'm the guy who chatted with you via PM about a DIY headgasket replacement and you tried to get me those manuals. Anywho. I'm sure it's due for plugs. As well as other things tbh. The last person took poor care of this car and I'm slapping myself for not thinking about that tbh. So I'll prolly replace the plugs and wires next week to see if I can get the issue solved.

When you get the cap, see if it comes with the o-ring seal. If not you might think about getting a new one.

Will do. I'm gonna make this a project car. Piece by piece if I have to. My radiator developed a crack in itself and so I found a all aluminum radiator online for 40 dollars. So I'm gonna have fun replacing that. Then do all the typical maintenance things like plugs wires cap and such. Then I'll probably start working on getting an intake. Also I'm gonna be making a YouTube channel for this car. If you want to subscribe when it goes live I'd be happy as a lark.

The rad change isn't that bad, it will lift out with the cooling fans attached once the hoses, lines (auto trans) and electrical connections are released.

The radiator switch wasn't bad. Quite fun actually. I had made the video or so I had thought. Since it was actually sunny out. My phone got hot and it stopped recording half way through and by the time I realized it wasn't recording I already had the new radiator in and mounted. So I'll have to find a new way to record.
