CRANKING GRINDING WHEN MAKING SHARP TURNS

Default CRANKING GRINDING WHEN MAKING SHARP TURNS

Hello my car is a 1994 honda accord lx automatic and when i make any half way sharp turn it makes a loud like grinding clicking sound... is this my axles going bad?? i checked them out online and found the for around 70 and if so about how much do they cossed to have replaced?

and also tranmission is going bad has been slipping for years but is really getting noticably bad and not sure if i want to get it replaced with a used one or have it rebuilt anyone have any advise?

sounds like a bad axle,, get 1 from autozone ,, around 50-60 dollars
as for the tranny , if it was a manual i would say get a used 1 ,, A/T are a bit touchier ,unless you can get your hands a car in a salvage yard with low miles when it was put there ,,i would not install a used A/T tranny ..
and i would not advice to overhaul it either, it will cost you more than to get a reman tranny ,,
also you might want to buy the tranny yourself and take it to a shop ,, if a shop gets the tranny they will mark it up a bit to rightly make some profits to pay their bills

If a shop is going to replace the axle i wopuld do it when they are replacing the axle that way there should be no labor charge to replace the axle ,, axle needs to basically all come out to replace tranny ,,if you are doing all the work yourself then it does not matter when you do it ..
