If you plan to keep and use the car for at least a couple of years, repair/replace the AT is low cost solution. Shop around for a quality rebuilder, get references and check them. Don't go low dollar proposal necessarily.

I agree, assuming the car is in otherwise good condition, the cost of a transmission will be cheap compared to buying another car in similar condition as yours.
Over the last ten years I've put two remanufactured transmissions in vehicles in good condition but with well over 100,000 miles on the clock; one of them had nearly 200,000 miles. The first one I drove for another 80,000 miles before I sold it, the second I still have.
