When you change the plugs/wires take off the distributor cap & inspect it. If it looks fine, don't replace it.
I took the cap off of my 95 V6 and it looked brand new on the inside. Not even a speck of dust! So I put it back on.
If you are not sure if it is reuseable, replace it.

if regular plugs i would advice replacement every 30k
if platinum . iridium plugs i would advice between 60-90 k depending on driving habits,,
if mostly city driving replace at 60k..
cap and rotor it would be a good idea to spend the money and replace at 60k .. for peace of mind
both might cost around 35-45 dollars but considering you do it every 4-5 years it is a good deal,,
Heck you would spend that and more for a tow bill ..
on all of these i would use nothing but Honda parts ,, last longer ,, i have seen a bunch of non-honda caps and rotors take a dump a lot sooner that expected ,,

OEM wires w/ DENSO sparkies. I pity you poor folks with wires. *Actually, not really....wires can make an engine bay look real, real clean. Damn ignition coils are hidden from view.*

yeah, i am pretty sure i shouldn't have replaced my rotor and cap cause the dealer did that it last summer. so, 6 months later i used durulast cap and rotor from autozone and got it done from a shop. but, haven't yet noticed any problems. i have driven about 16k on this rotor and cap. but, you are definitely right go with honda parts always. peace of mind and honda's are sensitive to non-honda parts (at least from what i have been reading on the board).
