Default SHIFTING ISSUES

I been having this problem that just started with my car..
i dont know if its my tranny or its my shifting cables please help..

Ibeen trying to shift my car to first gear but it wont let me (this wen car is off) at all
and wen i put it to 3it will go down right but wen i try to put it to neutral it wont move, it will stay stuck
it feel like the shift stick is like rubber. So i will have get off the car go to the engine bay and move the gear from third to neutral straight from the tranny...

my clutch is gone going to replace it today could it b that but dont want spend money to change it and then spend money to take it of to get my tranny done..

Have whoever is changing your clutch look at the cables to make sure nothing is binding or catching.
