I drive a 2008 Honda Accord Coupe, 2.4L V4 automatic (with 32000 miles), and have been recently having some issues with the transmission - it drives perfectly fine in the city, but when I accelerate up to highway speed, it gets stuck on the 4th gear for quite some time (like 30seconds) before settling to 5th. I can even take my foot off the gas (or feather it) and it still wouldn't make a difference. It would remain 'stuck' at 4th for that period of time before shifting up.

Once on 5th, the problem doesn't appear again till the next time I go back on the highway.

Any ideas?

Check for DTC's. Some codes don't set the MIL light to ON, or maybe the MIL is on. You didn't say.
