Regardless, it's STILL a job to remove your engine/trans and install the other one. (after saying he's not mechanically inclined).

And he'll have to change around the console from auto-shift-lever to manual, and swap his brake pedal for a brake-clutch combination. And maybe swap the cluster for one that doesn't say PRNDLR.

Some swaps are much easier than others, but it's still a swap.

yes the shifter as explained will have to be swapped...as for the gauge cluster...everyone and their grandmother that has done a auto to manual trans swap still uses the auto cluster. nothing changes with that...heck I'm gonna even sport the auto cluster...hahaha.
But yes Jim it’s still a swap no matter how you cut it. It’s not easy and takes blood sweet and tears...lol and even some yelling and cursing

yeah I'm not 100% sure about this car anymore, the trans has a P0740 code coming up actually more than that but, I'm researching this code cause it seems to have something to do with all the other codes coming up.

Another question now if I take a v6 from Tl with the 6speed trans, would this make my life a little easier swaping it or would it be the same. Or should I just junk this car and find something else worth while.
